Benny Sigler (older brother of Bunny Sigler, a stlwart writer, producer and artist with Gamble and Huff on Philadelphia International Records) released an early 60's 45 on Bamboo and co-wrote many songs with songwriting partner Howard Ravitsky, including singles for Ann Byres and Jana on Virtue. His lone Phil-LA of Soul release, "Who You Gonna Turn To"/"I Can Give You Love," was co-written by Phil Hurtt, whose many songs include the Spinners’ great "I'll Be Around." Phil-LA of Soul 314 features backing vocals by Les Tres Femmes, a North Philadelphia trio who had singles on Twentieth Century as well as Phil-LA of Soul. Benny Sigler unfortunately died prematurely, leaving warm memories among all who knew him.
