Have Twangy Guitar Will Travel CD won the coveted "Oldie of the Year" award from AFIM, the 1300-member Association for Independent Music (formerly NAIRD).

Rock 'n Rock Hall of Famer Duane Eddy (inducted in 1994), the original guitar superstar instrumentalist of the rock era, established his career and reputation on his first album, "Have Twangy Guitar Will Travel." The album styed on the charts for almost two years, thanks to the inclusion of his first five singles and distinction as the very first rock 'n roll album released in stereo.
This CD includes the original twelve tracks plus three bonus tracks from early Duane 45s and a booklet with behind the sscenes stories about how the music was made in the single-track studio in Phoenix. Photos include informal snapshots taken of Duane in Jamie's offices in Ph8iladelphia. Duane's music remains fresh and alive and well-used in American culture, including the film Forrest Gump, whre "Rebel Rouser" is in the pivotal scene of Forrest being chased from his past into his future and he sheds his leg braces.
