Marla Debrick was a Wlimingon Delaware based singer who worked with Hip City Records before working with Phil-LA of Soul in the spring of 1970. She co-wrote the two songs on her only Phil-LA of Soul release, her co-writer being George N. Lewis, who also arranged her sessions. On the original record, "I've Got to Find a Place" was the A side and "Um Um Darling" the B side.
