Tyrone Ashley began singing as one of the Del Larks, an R&B group which had records out in the late fifties on East West and Ea Jay. He also sang lead on the great "Job Opening" on Queen City and released solo singles on Queen City, Vision and Galaxy records under his real name of Sammy Campbell. Under the name Tyrone Ashley, he recorded "I Want My Baby Back"/"Let Me Be Your Man" and "Love Sweet Love”/”Sing Your Song Sister" for Phil-LA of Soul in 1970 with The Funky Music Machine .In 1978 he recorded a 45 and LP for United Artist.
