The “Twangs” The “Thang,” Duane Eddy's third album, came out in the United States in January 1960 and in the UK two months later in March 1960. It had been recorded just a month before during the Thanksgiving long weekend in November 1959. Duane made good use of a Danelectro guitar he had just bought at Ziggie Zardus's Phoenix guitar ship, using it on thirteen of the sixteen songs recorded during the marathon sessions.

The “Twangs” The “Thang” is a seminal work in the development of rock ‘n roll. Expert mixer Tom Moulton has lovingly recreated the vital live sound that modern technology can add to the original master tapes, which he used from Jamie Records’ musical vault, and added bonus tracks of never-before-released versions without overdubs on Duane Eddy’s unique sound.
