With 31 tracks, including a live-performance DVD track, this 2-CD set commemorates an era and the Philadelphia superstar band, the Kit Kats. Tom Moulton, the noted mixer and remaster wizard, commented that he would rather work on the Kit Kats than the Beatles, and here shows his love of the band by taking their sound to a new level of energy and fidelity.
Moulton combed the archives to find all the multi-tracks to remix into stereo for the first time.
Multiple versions of “Won’t Find Better Than Me” are well known to the band’s live audiences that rocked the shore in the late 60s. “Let’s Get Lost On a Country Road” haunted pop radio stations like WIBG. The 2-CD set does justice to the Kit Kats’ belief that they were above all else a performance band who put their magic into songs like “Liza Jane” and “The Nut Rocker,” which are also part of the amazing, reminiscent but thoroughly modern set of Kit Kats music.
