Tom Moulton‘s new stereo remix of Let’s Work Together by uses the original session tapes of Wilbert Harrison's classic sessions to  capture the energy and excitement of the hit  that revived Harrison's career. Besides the 1969 hit, "Let's Work Together," the album includes Harrison's unique take on "Blue Monday," "Louie Louie" and "Stagger Lee" as well as his own compositions and a remake of “Kansas City.”

Murray, who was used to working with the best session musicians in New York, was impressed with Harrison’s talent and diligence in playing every instrument as well as doing the vocals and background vocals on the sessions, which took place in Murray’s legendary in-house studio with its rare 12-track machine.

The liner notes include the last interview given by producer and Sue Records label-owner Juggy Murray before his death in 2005.  Previously unpublished  photos of the pioneering record label owner show him at the height of his power and influence, when  Sue Records was a powerhouse in both jazz and R&B in the era of independent era record labels.

Working on this remix with Tom Moulton was Murray's last work before his death and shows his continued attention to detail and the ear and talent that, as one of the very first black record label owners, he rode to fame and fortune for himself and his stable of major artists, not least of whom was Wilbert Harrison.
